A devilish time will be had by all…

the INCREDIBLE KIDS project

Kids amaze us every day.  Their innocence, their kindness, their energy…

This Fall at AVP we’re highlighting INCREDIBLE KIDS who have overcome incredible odds, or taken it upon themselves to contribute to their family or community in an incredible way.

Know an incredible kid?

AVP will be choosing 15-20 kids to photograph this Fall for the INCREDIBLE KIDS project.  The end result will be a showing of these photographs at Amy’s loft studio in SE Portland, followed by a showing at several locations around the Portland-Metro area.

Each child’s portrait will be displayed on a storyboard along with some text about their story.  At the end of the show, each child will receive the storyboard to have as their own.

Entering your child:

AVP would love to include:

  1. Kids who have overcome incredible obstacles to go on and make a profound difference in their family or in their community
  2. Kids who have been heros to someone in their life
  3. Kids wo make it a priority to make a difference in the world by organizing fundraisers or other ways of helping their fellow humans or animals
  4. Kids with incredible stories to tell – let’s hear from  you!

How to enter your child

  • Email AVP at amyvining@me.com and send us two-three paragraphs written by you or your child about their story.  Please include child’s first name, age, city, and your contact information.
  • Child must be 17 years old or younger
  • Child must live in Oregon and be able to meet with Amy in the Portland area for their portraits

Amy expects that it will be difficult to narrow down submissions to a workable 15-20 kids to photograph.  Please bear with her while she agonizes over her choices!

Have a fashionista under the age of 15 in your house?  YOU DO?  Perfect!  I want to take photos of her!  Or him!  In January I’ll be opening the studio door for a limited number of free sessions for some shorties who consider themselves quite fashionable, and would like to show off a bit for the camera.  I’ll be using the best of the images for my product line and marketing materials in 2011!  If you have a kid that loves the camera, is under the age of 15 and wants to be famous at the AVP studio, shoot me an email with a photo and a few words about your kids’ fashion sense.  Bold colors, big attitudes and smiles are a must for this shoot!  amyvining@me.com or 503-367-2285.

What you should know:

  • All images will be owned by Amy Vining Photography and may be used for marketing in 2011 in the studio or at displays such as Bridgeport Village.
